About Me

I am an old soul stuck in the modern life, who loves urban life but does not understand most of the current trends. I am a chronic insomniac and those nights are the time when I feel the most inspirational. I frequently create, observe the world, read and think.

Very recently I was diagnosed with bipolar type II, have been learning about it since then. I have acknowledged that I have mental problems only several  years ago and having handling them since then. There are bad days and good days. With or without the medicine I will get through.

I am a full-time student at Peking University (MA China Studies). I am a 23-years-old Lithuanian living in Beijing, learning about China and myself. I am interested in many different things, from travelling and poetry to LGBT rights and mental health.

My ultimate goal is working either in education or with marginalised communities. I no longer have a dream country (used to have a huge obession with South Korea), I wish to work with people and for people of East Asia and world. But mainly East Asia, seriously, not leaving this part of the world!

  1. Keep up the great little (and big) things you do!
Hope inside you alwas stay where you are now and get old only outside :). Happy birthday!

  2. Retro is wonderful! The past is indeed a beautiful (altho, potentially painful) thing. 🙂 Lovely writing! Keep it up!

    1. Thank you! I cannot help but love the retro and things from the past, be it stories, people, movies, music or fashion! The best source of inspiration and the best teacher, as it helps to learn and not repeat the former mistakes. 🙂

  3. Ah, I wanted to pursue an individualized major in International Relations. I graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.A. in Political Science instead. I love studying foreign languages and cultures. I wish the best of luck in all your blogging and academic endeavors for this year. 🙂

    1. That’s so awesome! I wanted to study Political Science before discovering International Studies. :] I am happy with my choice as it includes a lot of politics, but also economics, culture and foreign languages! So, perfect for me. 😀 Good luck to you too this year!
